On Saturday, we started the day off with more cousin time; her favorite. Every morning she would hear the boys playing around and then sneak over, open it a crack, watch them play for a minute, and then run out to join in the fun.
And while the big kids did their thing, the little kids were working together on sharing some breakfast...
After visiting Curtis and Hailey and their cute new baby Kit we headed down to Garden City for a little lunch with Grandpa Braden. It was nice to catch up with him before all the chaos started. After we finished we all headed back to Nampa to Jana and Chuck's church building for an evening of basketball and running around.
I am positive that Bailey burned close to 5,000 calories in the 2 or 3 hour span of time. The girl did not stop running the entire time. When we first got there she turned the basketballs into soccer balls and ran around kicking them with Daddy and Hazel.
I take it back. She stopped running for a minute so she could force Chuck and Will to play about a hundred rounds of ring a round the rosie.
Then, when the boys started their little game of HORSE or PIG or whatever barn animal it was Bailey carried on running by herself.
And Sam wanted to make sure that I recorded it for the history books that he won the game. Maybe girl babies are just luckier...
We scored some lucky presents. A striped shirt for Sam, a Catalina (honeymoon destination) vase for me and some Christmas money for the family.
There may have also been some dancing.
Hazel had no idea what to think of it. She was probably just horrified at her mother's awful abilities. Embarrassing the children at the ripe old age of 1 I guess.
Or possibly inspiring them to try to dance on their own. Hazel decided to use baby Jack as a walking stick/dance partner which he was not too fond of...
Luckily her sister stepped in to save the day...
And then Sam stepped in and ultimately saved Jack from our 2 little mothering daughters
There may have also been an intense few games of lightening while Grandpa got put in charge of all 6 grandchildren at once.
A little relaxing while eating some yummy berries after all the delicious pizza we scarfed down.
And little bails pausing for a second to steal some berries and actually making it a family photo.
We did finish off the fun evening with Grandpa and his 6 grandchildren.
And the Bailey girl just finishing her first marathon in an impeccable time while still looking just as good as ever. Way to be speedy girl!
As we were packing up to leave it started to rain, luckily for the first time that visit despite the freezing cold temperatures. I say lucky because all of my shoes got left behind in Utah except for my slippers that I wore the car ride up.
A special thanks to my night and shining armor for carrying me to the car and saving me from soggy shoes the rest of the trip.
