Our first day in the Bay area was spent relaxing as much as possible. We spent the morning just hanging out at my Grandma Sugiyama's house. Bailey was more than happy to jump from air mattress to air mattress and to use the propped up one as a slide/ramp to roll herself and other things down. There were also boxes of sees and godiva chocolate, holiday treats, and special mandarin oranges from Honey and Papa's tree to stuff our faces with.
Our afternoon was spent visiting my sweet Grandma Galeria at the rehab hospital. What we originally thought was a stroke turned out to be a brain tumor on her frontal lobe. She had it removed and is new re-cooperating at the hospital before she can return home. And in normal Bailey and Hazel fashion we spent the majority of our visit roaming around the hospital, playing with Christmas decorations, and of course playing ring a round the rosie...
Sam refused to play because he said it makes him dizzy. duh!
Hazel just loved my Grandma. She kept walking over and grabbing her hand and just staring at her while smiling.
And then I got smart and showed them how they can in fact play ring a round the rosie by themselves...
My only regret is that I didn't think of it sooner. After our visit we returned to Grandma Sugiyama's for some yummy pizza and some fun games before bed. I don't even know how long the girls spent crawling underneath Robby and Papa's legs...
Then it was just a few ab exercises before heading off to bed...
In our side by side queen air mattresses. One kid and one adult per bed with a rotation each night because while she is very loving and cute, Hazel rolls around like you wouldn't believe and sleeping next to her involves waking every 20 minutes her crazy antics.
