Two Years

In order to kill two birds with one stone we decided to have Bailey's 2 year check up at the same time as Hazel-roo's 4 month. It was mighty fun dealing with two children's immunization shots, but definitely worth it.

Height: 32.36 inches - 12.65 %
Weight: 25 lbs 11.2 oz - 55.83%
Head Circumference: 49.8 cm - 97.54 %

Bailey was real gem while we were taking these stats. And by gem I mean she was screaming bloody murder. We are pretty sure he height stat is way off considering that it says she has shrunk a few inches since her last appointment. They were nice and decided it wasn't worth the challenge of measuring again so lets just hope that she really isn't shrinking.

She definitely eats enough to fuel a growing teenage boy. If she isn't asking me to eat (she can sign she is hungry even though she wont say a word), she is trying to steal food. And if you feed her first and then sit down to eat after she will run over and ask for bites of your food too. She will use it as an excuse to push back bedtime and it just seems that 90% of her day involves trying to get more food in her little stomach. Especially if it is a treat. Sam told me the other day she was asking for a treat and Sam told her to go eat her little bowl of gold fish if she was hungry. She ran over, grabbed her bowl and dumped them into the trash and then once again asked for a treat. Sam started laughing, but told her no treats. Unfortunately the trash can was a little too full that day so after he told her no treats she ran back over and grabbed some of her snacks back out of the trash so she could eat them. So mischievous and quite disgusting.

She also likes to tone her ab muscles by using Robby's wheel workout. One night she ran over and grabbed it and started rolling forward and back on it. We counted and she did 16 rolls. I can maybe do 7 before I feel like I am going to die and Sam whined for days after he did 5 so we can just assume that this child has abs of steal.

Another one of her latest obsessions is opening the mail. She got a few early birthday cards we let her open and now everyday she demands to open all the letters that come in the mail. She rips the envelope into tiny pieces as she attempts to get the contents out. Once it is out she throws it down and she is onto the next letter. Making a huge mess is definitely her specialty.

This picture sums up Bailey's day in a nutshell. She prefers to be naked (except of course her beloved socks). She has skinned up knees because she runs around in the backyard all day and wipes out all the time on the concrete. She is usually back up and running around with barely a holler (and if there is a tear a small kiss will help her forget all about it and she is back to playing again; who knows where her pain tolerance came from). There is a large amount of drool falling out of her mouth at any given second and she has crazy hair in her face that she won't hold still long enough for me to trim or pull back. She is a crazy monkey.

She still thinks it is hilarious to try to make out although I have done my best to try to tame those awful lessons Rachel gave her in Reno. She is doing better although she kept trying to kiss her little friend Jack the other day at Costco when we put them in the shopping cart together. She would hug him, kiss him, and then get a big ole grin on her face. She was putting on quite the show for everyone around us. Sam couldn't be prouder of his little girl.

She loves her little sister. If she hears Hazel wake up in the morning or after naps she runs over and peeps into the pack n play to smile at her. If she is on the floor playing she will often times run over and lay down next to her and play for awhile. She will also run over and just give me a random hug and kiss and I just love it. Sam says the best part of his day is when he gets her jammies on and she has to lean into him and hug him while she steps into her sleeper.
This little Bailey boopers definitely gives me a run for my money everyday. She does however take almost a three hour nap every afternoon to help me recover from her morning shenanigans; bless her little heart. And considering Hazel naps at the same time daily as well I really should have no reason to complain, ever. Thanks for keeping me laughing and entertained every day. We love you Bailey Boo.
