We currently live in a town house, inside a complex with a lot of other townhomes. Each dwelling receives two personal parking spots, and each building has between two and four guest spots.
For most residents, the parking situation works, but for some, not so much. Our neighbors in the next building over have like a million cars, and instead of being like normal, considerate neighbors and parking their excessive amount of cars on the street, they decide to fill up every guest spot inside the complex. (I am not bitter at all if you can't tell.)
Now normally this would not bother me; especially because between my car and yoshi, we technically could share one spot, and on snowy days we often do, leaving our uncovered spot empty. However, we do have friends, and sometimes these friends like to come to our house, and they usually need a parking spot when they visit. A few months ago our car got towed because there were no guest spots left for our friends and $75.00 later my passive nature towards the guest spot stealers turned sour.
Last week these guest spot stealers took it to the next level. Sam and I left for school and work, leaving Jana, Chuck, Grandma Pam, and the boys home. Poor Chuck was the lucky one who answered the door to our grumpy neighbor aggressively asking why we towed his car. Apparently he just parked in our spot for "one second," accidentally fell asleep, and in the morning his car was gone. Chuck had no idea what he was talking about, and after a few minutes got him to leave.
What actually happened was the guy parked in our neighbors spot, thinking it was our extra one and they had him towed after a few hours of it not being moved because they have a baby and two cars and should not have to park on the street. Funny, right? Stealing the wrong parking spot, then picking a fight with us when it didnt work out for him.
Tip #1: If you are going to steal, make sure you know what you are doing and who you are stealing from. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BETTER!!!
We had a good laugh and thought that was the end of it. We were wrong. On the way out for lunch the next day we were surprised to find this tucked into our windshield:

Tip #2: When you write an aggressive hate note make sure that you've got your grammar intact. People won't take you seriously, they will just laugh, and then post it on the internet so that all their friends and family can also laugh.
Buddy, I am sorry about your $150.00, I think University towing is ridiculous also, but don't park in spots that aren't yours. And I am also sorry that our number 4 spot looked too similar to our neighbors marked number 5, but lets be honest, those two numbers don't look alike at all. And what is really too bad, we would have been very annoyed, but we probably wouldn't have towed you.
However, here is a little word to the wise, don't try those shenanigans again. It's not worth the money.

one time when greg and i were dating he left his car running while he went into my apartment to pick me up. Someone called in his car too and then left a note on the steering wheel that said,
"Just because you live in Provo doesn't mean everyone is nice and will let you just block their parking spot."
what? people are so weird and strangely angry.
see you manana for lunch, ok?
I have all of these Provo Life memories flooding back after reading this.
You owe me $150 for therapy for triggering Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
p.s. DUDE! Way to post the note!!!
I've called to boot someone. It felt good. Stupid repeat offenders and not moving their car after my passive-aggressive notes.
Oh wait, that happened when we lived together....
What nutters! Chuck even told them that your guest spot was 4 and that we hadn't called in the tow (but I'm guessing the neighbor who did call it in probably denied it too).
P.S. You guys are too funny - let me know what happens to your numbers, if you know what I mean . . .
I'm hoping you wrote a passive aggressive letter back. If you need help let me know.
