Park City

We headed up to Park City to do a little celebrity site seeing. We didn't have much luck in that department, but we managed to freeze our bums off in the process. It felt a hundred degrees colder in Park City than it did in Salt Lake. The drive wasn't too long at all, but actually finding a parking spot was basically an impossible task. We stalked a lady for what seemed like a mile and then it took her like fifteen minutes to find the reverse gear and leave. I am not sure who had more road rage...Bailey or Sam.
But the grumpiness passed quickly as soon as we released the Bails from the car and into the hands of Uncle Robby.
While we were trying to figure out a place to eat we stopped and warmed ourselves by the fire.
And then we rushed into Bandits BBQ partly because we were freezing and partly because we were starving. Not a good combo for this family (or possibly just me).
Bailey did pretty good until the food arrived. Her behavior turned south when dancing on her chair with her stolen french fries led to a wrong step which left her flattened on the ground with a bonked head. Then it was basically taming the beast from that point on.
So we gobbled our food and headed back to the main street to walk around. This led us to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for some valentines candies and hot chocolate.
Bailey was in heaven. She kept her chubby little hand in thate bag of candy pretty much the rest of the evening. She barely even ate any; I guess it was just the reassurance that she could eat one whenever she felt like it that made her happy.
And when Bailey's hands were colder than ice we decided to call it a night. We sent Sam running back for the car while we hung out in the Family Tree Visitor Center talking to the nice senior missionaries about genealogy. Hazel (who managed to sleep the entire time) and I sat on the bench watching the road while Robby and Bailey explored the place.
And that is the story of our short park city trip. We didn't see any celebrities and in the words of Sam..."we didn't see anyone famous. And there weren't even any pretty people there tonight except for us."
Bailey's favorite part of the drive home? When I finally didn't stop her from yanking her pig tails out. She better not blame me for all those times we go out and she gets called a boy.

Ohh, Sam cracks me up. I'm glad you guys could 'pretty up' Park City a little - bummer that you didn't see any famous people though. What's the point of Sundance being so close then??
