Little Mother

Bailey has started to enter her helpful stage. I use the term "helpful" a little loosely, although at times she seems more useful than Sam. For instance a few weeks ago Sam had the idea that dirty Hazel diapers were supposed to be flung into the corner of our room. At any given moment we had piles of 4-6 diapers laying on the floor that didn't find there way to the trash can unless I did it or made Sam. Then one morning while I was nursing and Sam was in the shower Bailey climbed down off the bed and proceeded to run back and forth from our room to the trash can three or four times. I made a mental note to check what she had thrown away because it usually ends up being toys, silverware, or plastic bowls. After a few minutes Sam came into the room and told me she had thrown away all the diapers in the corner two by two. And without being asked...Bailey 1 point...Sam 0.
She also becomes very concerned whenever she hears baby Hazel let out a cry and hurries to her side. Her little toddler waddle run usually makes it their before adult supervision which means Hazel sometimes gets the pacifier practically shoved down her throat, but she manages to get the bink in and the baby to quiet down.
And she often throws a kiss in there for good measure.
We have seen her methods with fake baby and the swing and have decided to keep her far away when Hazel is present. Gravity will not be anyone's friend in that situation. Especially for the fact that Bails figured out how to crawl in and swing herself the other day and that it was the best thing since mini marshmallows.
Oh Hazel...what a lucky baby you are to have two mothers.
