Lately...

We are just over here trying to survive these days. Sam just finished up his Ob/Gyn rotation and to say the least I think we are both happy to say that one is behind us. It was busy. Especially his week of night call followed by exam week. He was never around and when he actually was more often than not he was trying to catch up on some much needed sleep. He got a whole 2 days off and now he is off to his first day of surgery. Oh boy.

I spent two days looking for two and a half pairs of little girl shoes. 5 sandals magically disappeared out of nowhere after swim lessons one day. I searched high and low, asked the girls, and finally gave up crawling around looking over every nook and cranny with my large stomach in tow. I mentioned it to Sam on Saturday and he casually gets up and says I bet I know where they are. He walks over to this thing and sure enough he pulls out one Minnie Mouse flip flop, two purple jellies, and two gold/silver strapped sandals; the 5 missing shoes. It was so effortless from him (who prior to this was the worst finder in the house) that it left me wondering who the actual culprit was, Sam or Hazel. 

And last, but definitely not least, the air conditioner is once again working. Hallelujah. Two and a half days of sitting in an 87 (plus) degree house was torture. Especially at 8 months pregnant. Luckily we all survived the heat and my mood swings and are more or less back to normal.
