The girls and I found a great deal on jet blue and decided to forego the long California drive and fly down there instead. Bails was so excited about the idea of going on an airplane. She made sure to save up her money in her wallet so she could pay for the airplane (a whole $2) and carry her Belle purse to the airport with all of her toys and money. Too bad holding onto lasted about .4 seconds before I was put in charge of carrying it. I made sure to pack 2 ipads (they fight over everything), plenty of candy and snacks, molding clay, alphabet flashcards and a very positive attitude. Sam helped me to the gate and then after like 5 minutes of waiting we kissed him goodbye and loaded ourselves up on the plane.
It took us awhile to actually start moving and the girls were getting antsy. Bails was also a little distraught because she could see other big planes around the airport and I don't think she realized she was actually sitting in one until we started moving. She kept telling me she wanted to go in other airplanes. As soon as we started moving and taking off Bails was in heaven looking out the window and Hazel jumped into my lap and clung for dear life.
Once we were in the air we watched 101 Dalmatians, ate snacks, and stared out the window at the clouds, mountains, boats in the ocean water etc... They were perfect which was fabulous for me and my large, tired pregnant body.
Maybe the three of us can be little world travelers after. Who would have thought? Not me, that is for sure.
