Three Year Old

My big girl turned 3 today and boy was she excited. We forced Daddy away from his boards studies for an hour and made him join us for the traditional McDonald's happy meal lunch. This time we ventured into the joint because this place just opened with a brand new play place. Like usual, my girls were most excited about the special orange drink in their cups than anything else.
Hazel did manage to eat her entire hamburger, almost all of her french fries, and the majority of her apples. She may not look like it, but the little girl can eat.
After lunch all us girls took naps while Sam hit the books again. After a few hours we reunited and headed to Chuck e Cheese. Bails took a second to eat some pizza, but mostly she just wanted to run around and play all the games.
I think this one was her favorite by far. Mostly because she could actually do it all by herself and the end result was usually more than a ticket or two.
Hazel was happy to just climb up onto anything she could...

and help with the ticket return. Interesting fact about Sam? When we got married I was going through one of his boxes of "junk" and found like a million tickets (both actual tickets and the paper slips) to chuck e cheese. I made fun of him a little bit for holding onto them for so long (some of them were from 1997), but when it came time to redeem all of our tickets the girls both made off like bandits because of his hoarding behavior.
and even if they hadn't, redeeming them was all the fun they needed.
We forced them to take a picture in front of the chuck e cheese band even though both girls were absolutely terrified of it and they were clinging to us for dear life.
On our way out the door Bails definitely mooched off of these kids horse ride. I guess we can just call it their birthday present to her.
Then we returned home for presents. We got Dana, David, Honey and Papa on facetime and they watched her open her most favorite present of the day/year!
Hazel was more than happy to jump in on the action.
It didn't take her long to realize that she was already in love with her present.
Her beloved suit case from the Disney store that she begged for every time we went in
and three beautiful princess dresses. Thank you so much Aunt Pat and Uncle Jim. We can not thank you enough. She was beyond excited. She let out the biggest gasp and squealed with delight the rest of the day/week.
A few accessories to add to the collection...shoes and a crown. What more could a Princess want?
She immediately stripped down and threw on Sleeping Beauties dress. It did take a little bit of convincing, but she finally agreed that her little mini-me Hazel could wear her Ariel dress as well.
Does this face basically sum up her day? And she hadn't even had her cake yet, which was usually her go to answer when you asked her what she wanted for her birthday!
After the princess excitement we all headed over to the table for the mini cake collection.
Mean Uncle Robby sneaked one of his trick candles onto the cake and Bails couldn't blow it out. Then the thing started to spark and she took off running and plugged her ears and left Robby to deal with the mess. It took a little bit, but he finally managed to get the dang thing out.
It scared her, but not enough to keep her away from her birthday cake and glass of milk.
Trying to steal a little of her sister's milk.
Hazel was a fan too. I believe she finished off her cake and then roamed around with her fork trying to eat off of everyone else's plates too.
I think it is safe to say that the little Princess had a wonderful third birthday.
We love you more than words can say Bailey Boopers. Happy Birthday!
